Stealing Magic Documentary.

Someone is stealing the secrets behind magicians' greatest tricks and selling them on illicit websites. This magic documentary follows magician Andi Gladwin as he leads an unlikely team of illusionists on an international caper to track down the culprits.

The film blends investigation, road-movie momentum, and behind-the-curtain access to show what is at stake when the theft of those secrets threatens an art form built on wonder. Directed by Matthew Testa and featuring Penn & Teller, the documentary follows a globe-spanning pursuit through hidden networks, real-world operations, and the personal cost of defending the craft.

Thank you, AFI and The Industry

Huge thanks to the American Film Institute for spotlighting Stealing Magic among AFI Conservatory alumni at Tribeca, and to The Industry for the festival lineup piece—where they hoped the film might land with the same energy as the Sundance documentary Tickled. That would be fun!
